TeleAgriCulture Lab at Schmiede25

Many new labs at Schmiede25 🙂
Machine Learning Meets Ecological Imagination
This lab explores how creative tech can connect us to ecological systems through the open-source TeleAgriCulture platform—combining environmental sensors, machine learning, and experimental design. On day one, we’ll introduce the platform, its technologies and real-world projects, followed by a hands-on session where you’ll set up and connect our modular sensor kits, exploring power and connectivity options for use in both remote and urban environments and begin exploring the data it captures. On the first Saturday, we shift gears for “Foraging Ideas Farming Knowledge Fermenting Cultures”, a field-based workshop where we’ll forage the local environment of Hallein, share knowledge about food networks and ecologies, and begin fermenting both ingredients and speculative concepts. On Sunday, you’ll bring your ideas into a collaborative hackathon, prototyping creative applications, ranging from future farming and ecological storytelling to climate tools, crowdfunding systems, or even enhancements to the TeleAgriCulture app or website. Projects will be shared at the festival’s final showcase, with the winning team awarded a full kit and €100.
