The Electric Monk Lab at Schmiede25

In Douglas Adams’ Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, the Electric Monk is a labor-saving device designed to believe things instead of and for you… Welcome to The Electric Monk Lab! – a sonic playground where machines don’t only create sounds; they listen, feel, react, or maybe groove along.
In this lab, we’ll craft a series of quirky machines that embody different facets of musical listening – think of gadgets that turn their ears toward good music or shy away when bored or, generate visual interpretations of the music they “hear”. Maybe they mimic your melodies, add harmonies, or throw in beats or, maybe they experience joy or pain, based on the musical environment.
Just Imagine! – you will be able to save hours of music listening every day with the help of these aesthetically informed companions that behave somewhere between listener and performer.
You should join us, if you’re curious about giving machines a “feel” of listening and build your own Electric Monks.
