The Nexus of Textile and Sound – got FWF PEEK funding

What does Schmiede do?
Not much, Schmiede is an Island and playground of ideas.
We provide space and attract people.
Our hope is to inspire, initiate and support motivation.
Schmiede loves process development and things falling into place.
Sometimes it takes time and the red line from A to B is not easily presented.

So we are very super excited to inform you about a success story that leads through many levels of our past years.

“The Nexus of Textile and Sound” was accepted for funding by the FWF in the PEEK program

Gertrud and Marius met at ORTung in Hintersee 2019

Their project lead to a Mozarteum and FH Salzburg cooperation which quality was recognised by them winning the  Research Competition Mozarteum award in 2019.

Gertrud and Marius then initiated the Textile and Sound lab at Schmiede20: Horses   (subnetTransferTALK: Textilien und Klang 24.9.20). Gertrud and Marius returned with unfinished business to Schmiede21:WAR.

They finished 2021 with an online subnetTALK  (3.11.21) and good news followed in March 2022.

So thank you Gertrud and Marius and Congratulations to you and your supporters:
