Labs at Schmiede26: Ai Ai Ai

Schmiede26: Ai Ai Ai
SEP 16. – 26. 2026
Apply till May 31st
Enhance the experiment – join with a lab.
Schmiede is a playground of ideas, peer-to-peer learning and prototyping.
Labs are autonomous gathering points within Schmiede — islands of focus that connect people, projects and perspectives.
A Lab can focus on any topic relevant to its LabLeaders: a niche skill, a shared interest, a tool, a discipline, or an open project development space. By creating a Lab, you open a space for peers to exchange, collaborate and deepen their work together.
What LabLeaders Do
- Hold and shape the framework of the Lab
- Offer orientation and connect people
- Create value for themselves first — and through that, for Schmiede
LabLeaders are not responsible for solving other people’s projects.
SchmiedeRuleOne applies: The autonomy of the Smith must not be undermined.
What Schmiede Provides
- Defined space and infrastructure
- Visibility and communication support
- Featuring during the application process (if aligned early)
- Support in finding external partners (with early initiative)
How to Start a Lab
- LabLeaders should be returning Smiths with a strong understanding of the Schmiede context
- Align early with Rüdiger
- For visibility in the application phase, alignment should happen no later than May 20th
Everyone must apply, also Rüdiger does and pay the application fee.
LabLeaders can invoice Schmiede €150 (incl. tax) each as a refund (max. three LabLeaders per Lab).
